MoFAD consists of several departments and agencies. Overall, the Ministry is headed by a Sector Minister, and each department or agency has a head official, usually the director. MoFAD’s organizational chart shows the structure of leadership in the Ministry.

Honourable Elizabeth Naa Afoley Quaye has been the sector minister for MoFAD since 2017. Chief Director
Prof. F. K. E. Nunoo is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Ghana (UG) and the Ag. Chief Director of the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Ghana.  He is an astute Fisheries Scientist and Coastal Management expert with broad expertise covering environmental, social and natural resource governance issues in Ghana, the West African region, and worldwide.  Prof. Nunoo is an excellent educator, researcher and administrator.  His key principles and personality attributes in management are integrity, hardwork, result-oriented, bold, proactive, strategic, and being responsive in decision making.
