Monitoring and Evaluation Unit

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Unit of the Fisheries Commission is mandated to coordinate the planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of programmes of the Fisheries Commission.

Functions

The core functions of the unit are to:

  1. Coordinate the preparation of annual work plans and budgets;

  2. Coordinate the preparation of progress reports (quarterly, mid-year, and annual) and other performance reports;

  3. Monitor progress of implementation of programmes and projects of the Fisheries Commission;

  4. Co-ordinate the preparation of donor projects and programmes; and

  5. Contribute to the Formulation, review an through Socio-economic and other studies.

    The unit interacts with the public through the provision of data and information on the fisheries sector.
