Funding

The implementation of the WARFP initiative in Ghana is being funded through a World Bank International Development Association (IDA) credit arrangement and a Global Environment Facility (GEF) Trust Fund grant. The total estimated cost of the project is US$ 53.8 million, and it is provided by the IDA and the GEF as follows:

  1. GEF Grant of US$3.5 million
  2. IDA Credit US$50.3 million
    • Credit Effectiveness: 28th January, 2012
    • Maturity 30 years
    • Moratorium 10 years

Schedule

  • Project Legal Effectiveness: 12th June, 2012
  • Project Operational Effectiveness: May 2013
  • Project Duration: 5 years
  • Project Closing: December 2017
